Don't wait until you're Empty to refuel.
Don't give everything you have to everybody else and leave yourself on E.
You know how much you can take.
You know the exact transition from doing well, to okay, to just maintaining to barely hanging on....to EMPTY.
When you feel your energy getting low, pause, take a break, unplug and do whatever it is you need to do re-charge.
Take an extra five minutes for lunch.
Get that Caramel Macchiato you love at Starbucks (the skinny version of course).
Watch that movie you love with absolutely no plot that makes you laugh til you cry.
Take time for YOU.
Don't wait until there's nothing left to give because it's a lot harder to recover from Empty than it is to do better emotional maintenance all along.
Take care of YOU first.
And you'll be better able to handle everything else :)
